Position Summary
We seek a self-motivated Data Manager to lead and manage the lifecycle of environmental data management. This role will design, implement, and maintain a relational database management system (RDBMS) to support storing, organizing, and analyzing project analytical data.
The ideal candidate will have data management experience supporting environmental investigations under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) programs. They will also have an understanding of emerging contaminants, particularly PFAS. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, as well as thorough attention to detail, are essential for this role.
This is a hybrid remote position from any U.S. location. Some travel (up to 10% annually) will be required, mainly to support projects within the United States.
Responsibilities
Design and develop a functional database to support environmental data management.
Evaluate and recommend an appropriate RDBMS platform and implement it to manage various @types of environmental data, including laboratory analytical results and field measurements.
Collaborate with project teams working across various site media (e.g., groundwater, soil, sediment, surface water, and vapor) to support the development of technical document components.
Perform statistical analyses using industry-accepted tools (e.g., Mann-Kendall trend analysis and other EPA statistical toolkits).
Develop tables, dashboards, and data visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders effectively.
Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality across all environmental monitoring and modeling efforts.
Collaborate closely with GIS specialists and technical staff to support integrated data management and project delivery.
Maintain compliance with relevant environmental data standards, organizational policies, and regulatory frameworks.
Requirements
Required Experience and Skills
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Data Manager within the environmental consulting industry.
Ability to organize raw lab data into clean, formatted tables for reports.
Experience working with laboratory data packages and understanding key environmental parameters (e.g., water quality, soil contaminants).
Familiarity with standard analytical methods (EPA, ASTM, etc.) and data reporting requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Access - advanced proficiency).
An analytical mindset to troubleshoot data issues and improve processes.
Experience designing, querying, and maintaining SQL databases on RDBM platforms.
Familiarity with GIS, ERPIMS, and Synectics environmental database management systems (EDMS) is a plus.
Experience integrating APIs to extract data and load into SQL databases.
Work independently and as part of a team to successfully manage and execute multiple concurrent assignments.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Must be able to obtain clearance to access military bases and other federal government installations to perform job duties.

Education and Training
Bachelor's degree in Geology, Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Physical Requirements
Physically able to travel to field sites and traverse large areas by foot.
Candidate must be able and willing to complete limited travel supporting projects in various US states, including but not limited to: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, MD, MO, MS, NM, OK, VA.
Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds and handle field equipment.
