Parabit is currently seeking a dynamic Senior Accountant to join its New York Team. The candidate should have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of this line of work. This will be a great opportunity to have a direct impact on the day-to-day business of a leading systems integrator and service provider organization.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts Preparing special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. Verifying the accuracy of accounting information received, and reconciling G/L accounts Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities Complete audit preparations including compiling all schedules and necessary documentation Perform audits of junior accountant's work to ensure procedures outlined are being followed accurately and timely Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures Develop and maintain financial data bases Ensure all regulatory reports are filed accurately and timely Maintain and updating cost allocation methodologies on a quarterly basis and ensuring integration into accounting system and accurate coding of transactions. Ensure accurate pricing categories are applied to products Update and distribute pricing lists periodically Follow up on Collections on a weekly basis Performs Billing functions as needed Processing of 1099/1096 and maintaining current W-9s Work with management to continually improve operational reporting to support better decision making, accountability, and efficiency

Must be very proficient in Excel, Quick Books Open to learning new software's Attention to detail and accuracy Planning and organizing Strong communication skills Information and task monitoring Problem analysis Judgment and problem-solving Stress tolerance

Education and Experience

Accounting degree or equivalent Knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles Knowledge of auditing practices and principles Knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations a plus Knowledge and experience of related computer applications Minimum of 3 years' experience required in the financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, taxation and providing financial advice.
