Description We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team on a Contract to permanent basis in Thomson, Georgia. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. You will play an essential part in managing financial transactions and maintaining accurate records, contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounting department.
Responsibilities:
Manage accounts receivable processes, including billing, invoicing, and payment tracking.
Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Handle cash applications and collections, including B2B commercial collections.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of financial data.
Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and maintain detailed reports and spreadsheets.
Assist with fixed asset tracking and management as needed.
Support accounts payable functions when required.
Work with Sage accounting software to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to address payment inquiries.
Report directly to the designated supervisor to provide updates and insights on receivables. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts receivable or a related accounting role.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and data analysis.
Familiarity with Sage accounting software is preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge of account reconciliation and cash application processes.
Experience with commercial collections and B2B transactions.
Ability to handle multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.
A background in fixed asset management or accounts payable is a plus.
