Position Specific Description

Support the Legal Operations team in creating and managing RFPs for outside counsel engagements.

Review and manage outside counsel engagement letters and supporting documentation.

Draft AFAs (alternative fee arrangement) and scopes of work for outside counsel engagements.

Support the preferred counsel program and annual evaluations and renewals.

Collect and analyze data to report on key performance metrics with the outside counsel spend.

Help ensure outside counsel compliance with established outside counsel guidelines.

Technology: high proficiency in MS365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, OneNote) required on day one; will need to learn new software used for legal RFPs, matter management/eBilling, and CLM (contract lifecycle management) on-the-job.

Handle other duties as assigned.

Prior experience with AFAs, attorney billing, and engagement letters is preferred.

Prior experience with PERSUIT and TeamConnect is a plus but not required.

Under limited supervision:

Drafts and edits legal documents based on edits and input from corporate attorneys

Participates in special projects or activities related to the legal discipline being supported

Performs legal and transaction related research

Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

High School Grad / GED

Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience

Experience: 0+ years
