Northrop Grumman Mission Systems' (NGMS) Network Solutions Business Unit (BU) is looking for you to join our team as a Administrative Assistant 2 at our San Diego, CA location **.
What You'll Get to Do:**
This Administrative Assistant 2 will perform normal office functions such as setting up and maintaining files; interviewing callers and making proper referrals; arranging meetings and conferences; and receiving, referring, or answering mail. Reviews drafts and finished documents for appropriate grammatical usage; answers questions relating to office operations and established policies and procedures. Gathers, compiles and reports on information relevant to supervisors' assignment. May take and transcribe dictation.
Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Schedule, coordinate, and ensure meeting preparations and conduct are made for both internal and external meetings
Assisting department manager, program manager, and IPT leads in coordination of program events, milestones, and activities (internally and externally)
Facilitating program meetings, executive meetings, and customer visits
Orders and maintains office supplies for unclassified and classified program teams
Produces and edits correspondence and presentations; assists in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
Independently coordinates and manages a variety of projects
Builds successful working relationships with a diverse group of internal employees and external customers
Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters and forms as required
Working on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
Operating independently to meet requirements of leadership team and offering expertise to assist other functions within organization
Assisting events and activities of major organization initiatives
Successful candidates will have the following key attributes:

Composed - maintains a "level head" in the extremely dynamic, fast-paced, and demanding environment, especially when working closely with executive management on projects with highly compressed timelines and tight deadlines

Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma and 4 years of related work experience.
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communications skills.
Must have excellent time management and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook); up to date with advancements in office equipment and applications.
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and handle multiple tasks and managers in a fast-paced office environment.
US Citizenship required.
An interim DoD Secret security clearance level is required to start.
Preferred Qualifications
A current/active DoD Secret clearance.
Special Program Access (SAP).
Experience with Concur or similar travel and expense reporting tools.
Ability to exercise discretion and respect confidentiality concerning employee information and company records.
Must possess a high level of initiative and ability to effectively handle multiple tasks.
Ability to work well independently with minimal daily direction, as well as part of a team.
Must be customer focus oriented; previous experience with government customers is a plus.
Must be able to work amicably with a diverse work force and respect differing opinions.
Salary Range: $45,800.00 - $76,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
