What You'll Do
Hargrove is looking for Construction Coordinator with piping and electrical experience to assist on a 6 month turnaround project for a chemical company in Torrance, CA.
Job Summary: Generally responsible for performing construction coordination for small to moderate construction assignments. This work will be performed under general supervision.
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Lead assigned portion of outage scope through planning and construction.
The successful execution of all the site construction works in accordance with the project schedule, cost and other KPIs.
Create detailed planning activities in P6 for each work order utilizing planning templates as applicable. Activities include individual tasks, manpower, durations, and assigned discipline. Generate mechanical job packages if required, including pictures, P&IDs, BOMs, tools, safe work procedures, applicable standards, QC requirements, etc.
Complete Material Takeoffs for requisitioning/purchasing purposes, includes field verification
Provide daily schedule updates during outage execution.
Maintain a strong and effective professional working relationship with the AP Project Management, Client, interfacing EPC's, sub-contractors, and other stakeholders.
Provide leadership to ensure prompt prioritization and coordination of all unforeseen issues at the site, escalating to the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager as required.
Support Client Management of Change process, recognizing plant changes and following through on all documentation and recommendations in a timely manner.
Support and promote the implementation of the Project Safety, Security and Quality plans.
Support and promote the implementation of the Project Execution Plan.
Provide contractor field management in all outage phases for assigned contractors, including safety, timesheet verification, field oversight, change orders, and QC verification.
Uphold and communicate high standards of housekeeping in assigned areas and on all job sites. Conduct frequent formal housekeeping inspections of plant areas.
Complete close out and documentation as required by client standards and procedures.
Overall responsibility for the construction work.
Overall responsibility for safety on the constructions site.
Leading Safety Meetings and Toolbox discussions
Participate in Safe Work Permitting Process with Operations

Below is the range that we in good faith believe is the potential compensation for this role at the time of this posting and is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California.? The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Hargrove's total compensation package for Teammates.? Actual compensation will be based on education, experience, skill set and location.
Minimum Salary: $65.00 per hour
Maximum Salary: $95.00 per hour
Ideal Background
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science or related field from an accredited university is preferred.
Licensing: No licensing is required for this position.
Experience: This position requires a minimum 10 years of relevant industrial construction coordination and administration experience.
Travel: 25-40%

Able to achieve various State mandated certifications, TWIC, and other requirements as may be deemed necessary.
