Customer Service Representative - Automotive Manufacturing

Our client, an Automotive Fastener Manufacturer, is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused CSR to manage day-to-day customer operations for our Tier-1 automotive clients. The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is a key liaison between our fastener manufacturing operations and our Tier-1 customers. This role is responsible for managing high-volume, high-value accounts with precision, professionalism, and urgency. The CSR will handle order processing, communication, issue resolution, and account coordination to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, manufacturing knowledge, and a proactive, customer-first mindset.

What's the Job?

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned Tier-1 customers, ensuring clear and timely communication.

Process and manage customer orders, releases, forecasts, and change requests in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Plex, or similar

Coordinate with production, planning, quality, shipping, and logistics teams to meet delivery commitments.

Prepare reports on account status, delivery performance, and open issues for internal and customer reviews

Monitor and communicate order status, lead times, and inventory availability.

What's Needed?

2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment serving Tier-1 or OEM customers; fastener or automotive industry experience is a plus.Strong knowledge of order fulfillment, ERP systems, EDI, and logistics processes. [

Customer-focused with a high sense of urgency and professionalism.

Experience with IATF 16949 quality systems and customer-specific requirements - Nice to have

Familiarity with PPAP, APQP, and other automotive documentation processes - Nice to have.

Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/German) is a plus.
