Job Title: Manufacturing Technician, Weekly Pay!

Job Description

As a Machine Setter and Preventative Maintenance Technician, you will ensure that machines and equipment are in optimal working condition for each production day. You will become a subject matter expert on the operation of semi-automated machines, focusing on maximum quality specs, uptime, and minimal downtime. Your role involves performing repairs on assets and equipment, maintaining a preventative maintenance program, managing spare parts, and training operators across equipment stations in Austin.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and machine setup.

Support operations shifts and work collaboratively with team members.

Assist in running assets in the event of personnel absences.

Develop expertise in multiple assets and progress towards becoming a PM Tech Lead.

Coordinate overtime and additional workdays with the Production Manager as needed.

Essential Skills

2+ years of machine operation experience.

Basic knowledge of machine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.

Experience in high precision industries requiring high quality and accuracy.

Understanding of tool and equipment setting and maintenance.

Knowledge of quick changeover methods.

Experience in preventative maintenance work.

Proficiency with basic hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and power drills.

Basic skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Human-Machine Interface (HMI) screens.

Methodical approach to processes and systems.

Semiconductor or cleanroom experience.

Handling small microscopic materials.

Experience in wool packing and screen printing.

Work Environment

Work primarily on the 1st shift from 7am-4pm, with rare overtime. Enjoy a climate-controlled, clean facility with minimal PPE requirements, including gloves and occasionally a lab coat. Collaborate with a global provider of engineered components and advanced technologies, ideal for analytical, life science, or diagnostic laboratory automation needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of PFLUGERVILLE, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
