· AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, women's services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year.

The ro le you'll contribute:
The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing system-wide finance operations. Responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and releveancy of financial information flowing through financial, revenue cycle and clinical systems to aide in system-wide decisions made by financial and operational executives, leaders and staff. Runs department-wide processes and monitors achievement of objectives. Leads, develops and monitors the design, validation, certification and implementation of best practices in systems and processes, ensuring integrity, effectiveness, and efficiency in accomplishing operational and strategic objectives. Performs issues resolution on complex problems during the auditing process, has ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, recommend mitigations and draw valid conclusions. Takes initiative to explain performance and identify root causes. Communicates results to leaders and staff throughout the organization and defends them to auditors. Works on complex initiatives, diagnosing complicated issues by utilizing trouble-shooting and problem-solving capabilities, relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Manages analysts, promotes ongoing development, mentors, conducts training, facilitates rotations to give team members opportunities to broaden knowledge. Proactively seeks out and spearheads process improvement opportunities, drives the adoption of new technologies to improve efficiency and utilizes business intelligence to improve the effectiveness of information. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
The val ue you'll bring to the team:
· Strategic Plans - Assists in the creation and helps deploy strategic plans to achieve organizational inititaives. Forms operational procedures to accomplish the strategic plan.
· Ad-Hoc Requests - Works closely with senior finance leaders on urgent, high-profile requests and is responsible for the preparation and integrity of financial statements and reports for all assigned entities.
· Audits - Implements rigorous accounting and audit procedures to make sure information is accurate and that systems achieve expected results. Additionally ensures compliance with both new and existing policies & procedures.
· Improvement - Improves core Finance Operations processes on an ongoing basis. This includes streamlining, improving accuracy, and improving customer service of all finance and accounting functions. Performs current/future state process analysis. Determines what systems and procedures can result in best practices and is able to determine and present options. Utilizes creativity to find innovative and non-traditional solutions.
· Issues Resolution - Acts as a focal point for handling complex issues that require informing leadership. Works closely with leadership and team members in trouble-shooting and/or problem solving with ability to identify, diagnose, research, analyze, collect data and establish facts to determine root causes, draws valid conclusions, recommends mitigations to minimize risks, tracks and follows-up on issues, contacts and works with appropriate operational or technology staff to resolve issues, works across teams to find the most effective method for timely completion and delivers a high-quality product. Assimilates past experiences and job knowledge to solve problems in a timely manner.
· Task Tracking - Plans and tracks task completion to ensure timely delivery. Effectively documents work processes to enhance the knowledge of team members. Works with customers, vendors, and project management team to insure timely completion of tasks.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
Bachelor's degree.
Related financial/ accounting experience in a healthcare environment - preferred
Management/ leadership experience - preferred
