Job Title: Warehouse Inventory Control Worker

Job Description

The Warehouse Inventory Control Worker is responsible for overseeing inventory control activities such as counting, labeling, stocking, pre-packaging, stock movements, and auditing. This role also involves sales order picking and auditing, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of inventory.

Responsibilities

Conduct inventory control activities, including making recommendations for continuous improvement and resolving issues.

Perform cycle counting and inventory auditing, addressing discrepancies and suggesting improvements.

Pick, pack, and audit work orders to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Label inventory and handle bagging and boxing tasks.

Verify materials received against orders to ensure accuracy.

Monitor shelf life for expiration dates to maintain inventory quality.

Assist in training new hires in inventory control processes.

Manage special handling of sensitive materials.

Conduct material replenishments to maintain inventory levels.

Utilize RF handheld devices for inventory management tasks.

Maintain 5S standards for an organized and efficient workspace.

Essential Skills

Experience in picking and packing within a warehouse setting.

Ability to operate a sit-down forklift and cherry picker once trained.

Proficient in inventory management and control activities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Minimum of 6 months experience in a warehouse environment.

Willingness to be cross-trained and perform various warehouse functions.

Capability to be trained on forklift operations.

Work Environment

Work in a small, non-climate controlled warehouse spanning 25,000 square feet. The team consists of 8 members when fully staffed. Dress code includes steel-toed boots, t-shirts, and jeans. The shift runs from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with some overtime available.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Olathe, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
