Basic Job Functions:
Place orders for repair parts, crib supplies, and various factory
supplies needed throughout the plant and from various plant personnel.
Quote parts for Maintenance. Acquire parts and tools promptly. Enter
parts into D365 System. Get new vendors set up as needed. Check vendor
orders for accuracy, always maintaining a good working relationship with
vendors. Write purchase orders and assign P.O. numbers to written
purchase orders. Keep an accurate record of expenditures and report them
to the Maintenance Team Leader. Maintain the \"Maintenance Crib\" in an
organized fashion and inventory the supplies. Pick up maintenance
supplies and parts when needed. Contact the appropriate waste company
when receptacles are full. Order janitorial supplies. Enter work orders
into the Access System. Assign work orders to Maintenance employees.
Take over the oversight of the preventative maintenance program. Fill
out the Bills of Lading when shipping equipment. Track completed permits
(Hot Work, Aerial, Ladder, Roof). Manage PSM Program in D365 System.
Have the dust collector system dumped. Assist the Maintenance Department
with minor breakdowns/repairs. Perform other duties in the department as
needed. Will be lifting 50 - 90 pounds throughout the workday. Range of
motion will include squatting, bending, reaching, and climbing a ladder
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore,
candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead,
and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping
standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be safety conscious.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Must possess good mechanical attributes.
Previous experience in a related area is a plus.
Must be computer literate. Word, Excel required, Preventative
Maintenance and Work Order Management software experience preferred.
Must be willing/able to work overtime and available to work all shifts.
