Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team, working on a rotating schedule that includes two days on, two days off, followed by three days on and three days off. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment in a food manufacturing facility. This role requires a strong background in food manufacturing or pharmaceutical settings, with adherence to GMP standards.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repair duties on gearboxes, conveyors, and matrix systems.

Conduct troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on PLCs and electrical systems.

Work with ammonia refrigeration systems.

Ensure compliance with safety and GMP standards.

Train on 1st shift for a couple of weeks before transitioning to 3rd shift.

Essential Skills

Food manufacturing or pharmaceutical background with GMP compliance.

10+ years of experience in maintenance and repair.

Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and control systems.

Experience with electrical troubleshooting and maintenance repair.

Ability to work with ammonia refrigeration systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Fireman's License 2nd class 1 Boiler is highly advantageous.

Experience with electrical controls and hydraulics.

Skills in welding, HVAC, plumbing, and industrial maintenance.

Work Environment

The work environment is temperature-controlled at 40-45 degrees, with occasional work in freezer conditions at 0 degrees. The facility has a distinctive aroma of chicken wing sauce and meatballs, and it may get wet in areas around conveyors and floors. The company provides a professional setting with half of the equipment being brand new, ensuring modern and efficient operations.

This position is based out of Norwood, Massachusetts

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
