Job Description: POSITION: Full-Time Nursing Faculty (Assistant Professor): Nursing Department; Division of Health Professions; Tenure Track; Lawrence Campus, (414 Common Street); 37.5 hours/week; MCCC/MTA Unit Faculty Position, Position based on funding RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will be expected to: Works as a member of the teaching teams to teach didactic lectures in any specialty such as Maternal/ Child health, Pediatrics, Psych, or Medical Surgical nursing, Skills Lab, and Pharmacology, in the classroom, clinical setting and clinical simulation laboratory. Participates in curriculum development, program accreditation, evaluation of students, computerized test development, student advising, program and college committees. Availability to teach in the clinical setting. Evaluate student performance in the classroom and clinical setting. Utilize a variety of appropriate teaching strategies to promote students' critical thinking Develop instructional material consistent with course objectives. Maintain expertise and currency in the area of nursing and teaching responsibility. Participate in College service activities. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Highly experienced and skilled in undergraduate nursing curriculum and course development. Experience in simulation development, implementation, and evaluation would be a plus. Knowledge of ACEN accreditation standards and criteria; MA BORN Regulations for nursing programs. Face to Face, online, hybrid and or videoconferencing teaching experience.
