What You Will Do:
Pratt and Whitney is a global, innovative technology company that is moving fast to create the future of aviation. The Survivability Discipline Group, which is part of EDSI-Military Engineering Organization, is seeking an additive manufacturing professional to support a variety of activities within the discipline.
As an additive manufacturing professional, you will be taking a lead role within SDG's additive manufacturing work group in executing the daily operations workflow, facility and equipment sustainment activities, business development, and execution of capability or capacity advancement to maintain alignment with current and emerging business needs.
Perform full range of additive manufacturing workflow activities from initial customer engagement through product delivery including design for manufacturing and application suitability feedback, product definition support, build file creation, machine operation and monitoring, post processing (cleaning, surface finishing, painting, hardware installation), dimensional, fit and assembly checks, shipping or onsite delivery and setup support.
Perform both general AM lab and equipment specific sustainment activities including procurement and supplies inventory management, scheduling or conducting preventative maintenance (TPM), perform equipment troubleshooting and repairs, and maintain EH&S compliance throughout daily operations and conduct internal or support external EH&S audits.
Promote business sustainment through proactive engagement in supporting internal and external customer base with constructive feedback and quality timely work execution. Support new business development through networking and active engagement with other discipline groups to advance awareness and promote SDG's additive manufacturing capability and capacity to the WPB campus.
Engage in the additive manufacturing industry and community to be a focal point on both established and emerging AM technology advancements to evaluate and promote continual improvement process in SDG's AM facility and identify solutions that best align with the business needs.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) and minimum 2+ years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics(STEM)
Industrial polymer 3D printing experience preferably in SLA or FDM technologies
Ability to work in shop environment with basic hand tools, fabrication equipment, PIVs, and chemicals.
Proficient in basic software operation and experience in a windows operating environment.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
10% Travel.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Active U.S. DoD Security Clearance
3D Systems & Stratasys AM equipment experience
3D Sprint, Insight, Lightyear, Simplify 3D, PrusaSlicer AM software experience
NX or other CAD modeling experience
CNC milling machine programming and operation experience, MasterCam preferred
Experience in prototyping and one-off design development environment

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role @type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
