Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's team in Jupiter, Florida. This role involves providing advanced financial and administrative support, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounting department. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with various teams, oversee financial processes, and help guide less experienced staff.

Responsibilities:

Perform high-level accounting tasks in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Accurately record, analyze, and report financial data in a timely manner.

Prepare and post journal entries while reconciling general ledger accounts.

Conduct monthly reconciliations for credit card and bank accounts.

Track and monitor expenses, ensuring transactions are accurate and serve business needs.

Assist in preparing payments for vendors and service providers.

Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closings.

Support the development and implementation of new accounting policies and procedures.

Participate in internal audits and financial risk assessments to ensure compliance.

Maintain and update accounting records, providing direction to less experienced staff as needed.

Requirements

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, as well as QuickBooks or NetSuite.

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.

Minimum of 3 years of detail-oriented experience in accounting, with healthcare industry experience preferred.
