Farm Operator Manager

The Farm Operator Manager is responsible for managing all other employees who operate irrigation equipment and oversee all installations, maintenance, operations, and replacements involving irrigation and electrical needs while also providing assistance on all other equipment vital for farming operations as needed. This is critical for farm operations to grow and maintain successful crops. The equipment includes pivot irrigation systems, irrigational wells, control panels, generators, breakers and meters, vehicles, pump equipment, tractors, grain carts, seed cleaners, grain elevators, planters, strip-tillers, and all tillage equipment. Responsible for all pivot irrigation systems' GPS, Standard Operating Procedures compliance, and all regulatory record-keeping for the water district. Irrigational equipment maintenance includes preventive preparation, and daily repair and maintenance as needed.
Will supervise 5-10 farmworkers.
Daily Duties

Organize and coordinate other employees as needed.
o
Position and regulate pivot irrigation systems.
o
Prepare reports required by state and federal laws.
o
Maintain financial, operational, and employment records for farms.
o
Analyze irrigated fields to determine present and future irrigation practices.
o
Supervise the construction of farm structures, such as pivot irrigation systems, wells, buildings, fences, drainage systems, and roads.
o
Conduct inspections on irrigation equipment.
o
Hire, supervise, and train other employees.
o
Maintain vehicles and other farm equipment.
o
Monitor activities, such as irrigation, construction, planting, harvesting, and repairs, to ensure adherence to safety regulations and standards.
Education - No min education
Experience-24 months farming experience
working with farm irrigation equipment.
Demonstrated ability to repair and maintain such equipment.
Required daily travel within 40 miles from the worksite
