Full Time Contract Title or Role: Lean Manufacturing Location: Barceloneta, Puerto Rico, 100% on-site Length of Contract: Six (6) months Company Description: Our client specializes in the manufacturing of animal medical drugs and is in the process of evaluating the product manufacturing operations for improvements. Position Description: This position requires the individual to manage manufacturing/packaging continuous improvement projects and assure completion, which may include process/equipment optimization, business continuity, supplier changes, cost reduction, and sustainability initiatives, among others. Responsibilities:

Identify, lead, support and manage manufacturing improvement projects until completion, which can include and is not limited to creating multifunctional teams and require vendor or supplier process improvement.

Responsibilities include project planning, team facilitation and project status updates.

Responsible for the development and execution of experimental manufacturing batches and engineering studies.

Be able to work with cross functions teams (Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, among others) to ensure project completion.

Provide recommendations to support systems that continuously improve product/process quality and product availability, reduce costs, and increase production capability.

Keeps abreast of the basic requirements for compliance in all plant areas of work and complies with those requirements.

Participate as required in training on regulatory issues affecting the facilities areas or any plant area. Brings regulatory compliance questions/issues to the attention of management.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in Lean Manufacturing methodologies. Preferable Green belt/Black Belt certification

Strong experience performing value stream mapping preferably in packaging line time studies.

Develop/ Propose Packaging line standard process improvements,

Executes Lean Six Sigma projects, distinguishes between DMAIC, DFSS, PDCA, Kaizens and Kaizen Event opportunities to reduce defects, variability and/or cycle time, increase yield, rates, among others, delivering controls to maintain sustainable results.

Excellent presentation and project management skills; Quality and detail oriented

Proficiency in the use of personal computers, scanners and office related equipment.

Must be capable of independent work; a self-starter, highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

Ability to communicate in English/Spanish (Written and Spoken)

Education & Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or science and at least five years performing similar tasks,

Demonstrated ability to follow established policies and procedures.
