Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

Provide manufacturing engineering and technical support to other Engineering teams while working cross-functionally with Quality, Tooling Engineers, Maintenance, Process Engineers, and Project Engineers. Support Production teams to ensure daily production meets safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost objectives. Assist with new product implementation and collaborate with commercial teams to integrate new opportunities into the plant. Facilitate projects through various phases including theory, trial, commercial, and manufacturing efficiently. Enhance throughput and open capacity by maximizing asset output. Focus on cost reduction by identifying and addressing gaps and losses on the floor.

Responsibilities

Solve problems on the factory floor and act as the primary technical resource to resolve production issues.

Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis activities, and implement long-term solutions to prevent re-occurrence.

Develop and implement process improvements.

Maintain and update all manufacturing documentation including BOMs, specification changes, ECOs, reports, print revisions, fixturing, and protocols.

Lead formal root cause investigations, implement corrective actions promptly, and confirm effectiveness through statistical analysis.

Interface with suppliers for incoming components, outsourced services, and new process equipment.

Write and revise protocols and reports for validation.

Complete process FMEAs and implement and review process controls.

Contribute as a member of the Material Review Board.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (B.S.)

Minimum 3 years of Manufacturing Engineer experience in plastics injection molding.

Excellent problem-solving skills to identify, gather, and analyze information develop solutions and resolve problems in a timely manner.

Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.

Highly collaborative with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Support the factory with a superior level of customer service and responsiveness.

Able to work in a fast-paced, team environment.

Experience or working knowledge of polymers and injection molding is highly preferred.

Experience in a regulated industry and familiarity with the requirements for medical device manufacturing.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Minitab experience highly preferred.

CAD experience.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand for moderate periods of time in an office and factory setting. Regular use of hand tools, micrometers, and microscopes is required. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, will regularly lift up to 20 pounds, and occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Job Type: Full-time

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.67 - $52.88/hr.
