On-site Construction Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced On-Site Construction Supervisor to join our team in the Palo Alto, CA area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction, extensive knowledge of construction materials, and the ability to identify and correct errors made by subcontractors. This role requires excellent leadership skills to supervise on-site workers effectively and ensure that all construction activities are completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily on-site construction activities to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.

Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors and on-site workers.

Inspect construction materials and ensure they meet project specifications and quality standards.

Identify and rectify errors or issues in the work performed by subcontractors.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, and any issues encountered.

Provide guidance and support to on-site workers to enhance productivity and quality of work.

Skills and Requirements

2-5 years of relevant experience in commercial construction supervision

Proven experience in on-site supervision of commercial construction projects.

In-depth knowledge of construction materials and methods.

Strong ability to identify and correct errors in construction work.

Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and building codes. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Procore, Primavera P6, or other construction management software.

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) software. null
