Job Description
We're seeking a skilled and safety-focused Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the safety of our personnel and assets, significantly improving equipment reliability, and supporting critical capital projects. You'll be the first responder to emergency and unplanned downtime events for our plant production lines, keeping our operations running smoothly. This position operates on a 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, 4-on/4-off (Monday - Saturday) shift.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Prioritizing safety by adhering to all plant environmental and safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Expert troubleshooting: Locating and diagnosing failures, replacing defective components, and performing complex repairs using detailed drawings, diagrams, and technical manuals.
Maintaining electrical systems: Installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment for generating, distributing, and utilizing electrical energy, including testing circuits and installing new power, light, and control circuits.
Advanced electrical repair: Repairing complex electrical equipment like Drives, HMIs, PLCs, motors, switches, and automated machines.
Precision wiring: Performing complex wiring assignments and installing conduit.
Problem-solving under pressure: Improvising acceptable fixes to minimize downtime.
Strategic parts management: Ordering and requisitioning new parts and equipment to maintain optimal inventory.
Collaborative support: Assisting engineers in diagnosing problems and suggesting corrective actions.
Mechanical proficiency: Repairing and maintaining machinery such as pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production equipment.
Proactive maintenance: Following a strict preventive maintenance schedule to reduce unplanned downtime.
Reporting and continuous improvement: Documenting shift metrics, maintaining repair logs, and actively seeking methods to improve product/process quality and reduce waste.
Team collaboration: Actively contributing to team decision-making, supporting colleagues, and assisting with project work.
Facility support: Repairing or overseeing contractors for HVAC systems, janitorial services, and grounds maintenance.
Qualifications
What you'll bring:
3-5 years of proven experience as an Industrial or related Electrical Maintenance Technician.
Unwavering commitment to safety as a core value, serving as a role model for others.
Strong technical knowledge in industrial machine repair/reliability techniques and the ability to work from prints/technical drawings.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to interface effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel.
A collaborative spirit and ability to thrive in a team-based environment, fostering open communication.
A strong service and quality focus, with the initiative to understand root causes and educate the team.
Flexibility and dependability to support production and customer needs, including willingness to work overtime, often on short notice.
Ideally, you'll also have:
An Associate's Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Machine Repair, Automated Manufacturing, or a Journeyman's card.
A minimum of 5-8 years of verifiable overall maintenance experience.

Essential physical requirements for work:
Movement: May require the ability to stand/walk for up to 80% of your shift, with frequent pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and squatting 50% of the time

Environment: May require being comfortable working in an environment with varying temperatures and humidity.
