Nurse Manager, OP

The Nurse Manager, OP maintains full accountability for leading and managing the human resources, clinical, financial and administrative operations of an assigned practice(s) in order to continuously improve the quality of patient care and create a healthy workplace for staff in collaboration with organizational leadership.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations, ensuring staffing aligns with patient needs, flow, acuity, procedures, and staff competencies.

Lead clinical and administrative activities, serve as a role model, and prioritize patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include budget management, human resources, regulatory compliance, and staff development.

Drive continuous quality improvement, facilitate professional growth, and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence in patient care.

Analyze patient and staff outcomes, implement evidence-based practices, support transitions, and maintain productive relationships.

Optimize clinical tools, coordinate programs, and uphold fiscal responsibility to enhance practice efficiency.

Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and/or interact appropriately to the ages of the patients served by his/her assigned unit as specified below.

Must also demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patients requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs and to provide the care needs as described in the department policy and procedures.

BSN or Bachelors in related health care field required.

MSN or Masters in a health care field preferred.

Minimum 5 years Nursing Experience required.

Previous Outpatient experience & pediatric experience strongly preferred

Progressive leadership experience with relevant clinical experience preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse either in the state where the facility is located or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement with the state where the facility is located.

CPR Certification CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Act 33 /Act 34 / Act 73 with renewal

*Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
