Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team on a short-term contract basis in San Ramon, CA. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth communication and efficient administrative support within a medical setting. This position requires a strong ability to manage tasks related to patient scheduling, insurance verification, and other front desk responsibilities.

Experience using ScanChart and AdvantX software strongly preferred.

Medical Receptionist Responsibilities:

Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures.

Answer incoming phone calls and address inquiries or route them to appropriate personnel.

Verify medical insurance information and ensure accurate documentation in the EHR system.

Maintain and update patient charts and records with precision.

Perform billing tasks, including processing payments and resolving billing inquiries.

Schedule appointments and manage calendar coordination for medical staff.

Handle administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and preparing reports.

Assist with creating charts and graphs as needed for operational purposes.

Ensure compliance with confidentiality and HIPAA regulations when handling patient information.

Requirements - Prior experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

Strong communication skills for answering calls and interacting with patients.

Familiarity with medical insurance verification processes.

Knowledge of billing functions within a healthcare environment.

Ability to create and interpret charts and graphs for administrative purposes.

Proficiency in managing patient check-in and check-out procedures.
