The Team
The Director of Business Finance International will be responsible for synthesizing international performance into actionable insights for executive decision-making, creating executive content for the International EVP and Corporate Senior Leaders, and serving as the strategic finance liaison for the International EVP. In this capacity, the incumbent will also provide international financial analysis leadership and support, through matrixed cross-functional collaboration, for various globalization initiatives, partnering with operations and finance leadership to identify, target and measure, appropriate long-term KPIs that accurately represent globalization effectiveness. The position also entails partnering with VP Commercial International for commercial deal reviews. Day to day the Director will also provide critical financial support and analyses for global business performance, capital expenditures, and other strategic initiatives.
What You Need to Succeed
Bachelor's degree required, with a concentration in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration preferred.
Minimum of 15 years of senior leadership experience in a Finance and/or FP&A capacity, preferably with a focus on real estate or telecommunications on a global scale.
Excellent direct and indirect leadership skills: ability to drive and motivate a team to achieve results; ability to influence others and inspire action.
Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally to drive the achievement of deliverables, including a strong track record of building and maintaining solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills and finance skills set with a solid understanding of income statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flows
Excellent valuation, financial modeling, and project analysis skills, including a thorough understanding of discounted cash flows, net present values, and internal rates of return.
Ability to work effectively across many internal functional groups to partner with key stakeholders and resolve issues.
Self-motivated; able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to requests and with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify high-quality solutions.
Excellent written and oral communication skills (in English), including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
Excellent organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent strategic and problem-solving skills to effectively influence decision-making during critical negotiations.
High-level Excel skills, including the ability to create pivot tables and complex formulas.
What You Can Offer Us
Review, validate, and analyze financial and statistical information from regions to support the quarterly earnings release process, including synthesizing financial performance and global variance analysis into meaningful messaging and actionable information for external reporting and executive financial decision-making
Create presentations and other executive content, for the International EVP and Corporate Senior Leaders, inclusive of Board presentations, synthesizing financial data and strategic insights to support executive decision-making and investor discussions.
Serve as the strategic finance point of contact and liaison for the International EVP, assisting with the preparation of critical reviews and providing actionable insights to support strategic initiatives.
Partner with and supply VP Commercial International with requisite information to conduct commercial deal reviews, ensuring thorough analysis and strategic alignment.
Cross-functionally partner with global finance and operations teams to develop actionable KPIs the represent the effectiveness of globalization initiatives and associated efficiency, and effectively work with the VP, Operations Finance to communicate targets internally, and in support of external messaging.
Analyze global opportunities and risks to near and long-term financial plans and provide senior leaders recommendations on risk mitigations and strategies for maximizing growth opportunities linked to strategic objectives.
Support centralized data entry process for budgeting and forecasting, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency across all financial data inputs.
Implement and maintain robust data management systems to streamline the collection, validation, and reporting of financial data.
Develop and implement comprehensive planning processes and models that allow for centralized support of critical Corporate and global planning requirements and needs.Provide accurate and timely executive reports to the regional/country CEOs, Regional Executive team and International JV Boards, to give a holistic view of the business direction and to support and enable effective decision making.
Collaborate with functional leaders to drive continuous improvement in process, data, and technology to achieve efficiency targets and to improve the service provided to internal customers.
