Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and oversee the corporate accounting operations for our organization in Grand Prairie, Texas. This role involves supervising a team, ensuring compliance with company policies and audit requirements, and providing exceptional support to operating divisions.

Responsibilities:

Supervise the accounts payable department, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices.

Manage high-volume accounts payable operations across multiple software systems.

Communicate with vendors to address and resolve invoice discrepancies, including performing reconciliations.

Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Conduct research and complete special accounting and finance projects as assigned.

Collaborate with accounting and IT teams to support automated accounts payable workflows, resolve issues, and provide training for employees.

Oversee tasks related to bank deposits, fixed asset reconciliation, disposals, and depreciation entries.

Generate and analyze financial reports as part of the month-end close process.

Assist with audit processes by providing necessary documentation and support.

Deliver training and guidance on systems, policies, and procedures to division teams.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.

Strong ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.

Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on supporting corporate divisions.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with minimal supervision.

Proficiency in explaining complex financial concepts to non-accounting professionals.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with fixed asset accounting.

Experience with accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
