We're looking for a proactive Accountant to join our close-knit team and play a vital role in ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of our credit union. From managing daily transactions to supporting strategic financial reporting, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact while growing your career.

What You'll Do

Daily Operations: Maintain the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and ensure smooth back-office operations.

Transaction Oversight: Investigate ACH and draft return items, process wire transfers, and handle deposit exceptions.

Payroll & Payables: Support payroll processing and manage weekly accounts payable.

ATM & Card Programs: Oversee ATM operations and administer the debit card program with precision.

ACH & RDC: Manage ACH operations and post Remote Deposit Capture transactions.

Investments & Assets: Track CD investments and maintain fixed asset schedules.

Month-End & Reporting: Execute month-end closings, prepare quarterly 5300 Call Reports, and assist with tax and regulatory filings.

Member Support: Provide exceptional service for transaction inquiries, overdrafts, and more.

Leadership Support: Offer administrative assistance to the President/CEO and collaborate with auditors and examiners.

What You Bring

Education & Experience: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting and experience in the financial or banking industry.

Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, IF statements), Word, and accounting software.

Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving, reasoning, and judgment skills.

Self-Starter: Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with minimal oversight.

Communication: Clear, confident communicator who can take ownership of processes and collaborate effectively.

Bonus Points For

Experience with 5300 Call Reports

Familiarity with CU*Answers and Beastro (we'll train you!)

Knowledge of card disputes, ACH, and MATCHA

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
