Position Description:
Own and develop relationships with supply chain carriers, negotiate contracts, and plan country delivery strategies. Oversee daily operations and processes and maintain relationship with domestic and international warehouses to confirm proper handling and distribution of goods based on best practices. Create and add value through leadership in category management, sourcing, supplier management and resource development.
Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:
1.Manage contract negotiations, relationship management, and partner development.
2.Manage buying process for transportation and warehouse coordination and support new service rollouts in collaboration with 3PL stakeholders.
3.Oversee daily operations and processes to deliver highest level of customer service and maintain cost efficiencies.
4.Maintain relationships with domestic and international 3PL companies to confirm proper handling and distribution of goods based on best practices and logistic standards.
5.Manage complexities of global supply chain structures and schedules. Conduct inventory and warehousing problem solving through teamwork, explain and present complex problems in understandable way, and define root causes to structure resolutions into manageable action items.
6.Collaborate with internal demand planning team and service providers to maximize inventory turn.Coordinate inbound and outbound flows to minimize delivery timelines and reduce inventory stock.
7.Manage effective and efficient order fulfillment, oversee and monitor 3PL activities and performance. Establish distinct agreements for warehousing and distribution processes and requirements aligned with internal stakeholders on inbound, outbound, and return goods flows and inventory holding.
8.Manage and drive improvements for warehousing and distribution process of international and domestic shipments, operations, costs, performance, contacts, and logistics service provider engagements.
9.Drive commercial relationships with 3PL category suppliers, with objective of achieving lowest total cost of ownership aligned with business goals and supported by a culture of continuous improvement with cost and performance benchmarks in use.
10.Establish 3PL carriers sourcing strategies, lead cross-functional strategic sourcing teams, negotiate with suppliers, and execute sustainable contracts to optimize e2e benefits and on behalf of customers.
11.Manage category suppliers to identify, monitor, and optimize supplier relationship? opportunities.
12.Drive category suppliers in supplier relationship management activities to improve performance, add value to our operations networks, and support strategic sourcing for negotiating contracts, prices, and delivery timelines,
13.Serve as core member of commercial development and procurement teams to drive development and roll-out of best practices for commercial excellence.
14.Develop and upgrade contract templates aligned with internal stakeholder activities (e.g., requirements for new services / terms with finance, tax, legal); define pre-approved standard clauses in order to maximize contract value and fulfilment of customer needs.
15.Establish structured contract management disciplines for vendor pre-qualification, request for proposals (RFP), and contract updates and renewal processes.
16.Develop strategy for initiatives to establish new and innovative services, drive performance and speed improvements, and secure capacity for growth.
17.Assess supply base meets business needs for current and future requirements.
18.Drive long-term strategic partnerships with high performing carriers, establish carrier performance management process and define evaluations and classifications.
19.Conduct strategic analysis (of what?) to assess, identify, and implement significant bottom-line cost savings (of what?).
20.Managing daily purchasing activities, and track/monitor daily troubleshooting inbound/outbound activities.
21.Maintain supplier database, purchase records, and efficient purchase order (PO) execution
22.Oversee compliance of Inventory Process Controls to avoid any possible financial exposure. Manage warehouse activities and coordinate with inventory control to determine and manage inventory materials receipt and release for distribution by Logistics (?).
23.Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiencies of materials flow in support of Days of Inventory on Hand (DOH) and supply goals, particularly with lead time and inventory accuracy.
24.Create, maintain, and review reporting metrics to identify opportunities to improve service throughout all facets of the supply chain.
25.Conduct individual and team training sessions related to 3PL inventory and shipping processes and tools.
26.Review forecast and inventory availability on a daily basis to work with order management team members and 3PL service providers to plan (back)orders to provide for client demand.
27.Maintain and review requirements related to warehousing and distribution in close cooperation with internal stakeholders.
28.Deploy processes to fulfill requirements from our stakeholders (inbound, warehousing, reverse logistics, outbound, reporting)
29.Compliance to existing contracts and 3PL partner workflow (Warehouse, transport, customs) through KPI analysis and structured business reviews
30.Maintain 3PL costs according to contract budgets and agreed performance levels.
31.Achieves and drives cost, performance and quality improvements within warehousing and distribution (PDCA, 8D), based on analysis of business characteristics.
32.Resolve 3PL problems (e.g., capacity, performance, complaints) with internal and external stakeholders
33.Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree (Master's Degree or MBA) from accredited degree program in Applied Logistics, or related field and minimum of 15 years of experience in supply chain operations, procurement management, or logistics with minimum of 5 years of experience in materials and/or warehouse operations and minimum of 2 years in leadership position supervising 3 or more people, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Knowledge of procurement and commercial strategy definition ? and implementation
Extensive experience in business development, partner development, procurement, sales, or marketing
Financials understanding with ability to develop should-cost models, P&L / Balance sheets (non-finance expert understanding)
Advanced knowledge of inventory and supply chain management, and warehousing processes
High level of numeracy, analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to quickly understand root cause and identify scalable solutions
Experience utilizing data analytics to drive strategic planning initiatives
Strong planning and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple competing priorities and achieve project milestones and on-time completion
Ability to prioritize and drive closure to open issues
Able to develop pragmatic approaches and solutions to drive simplification and continuous improvement
Excellent negotiation skills, interpersonal influencing, and communication skills
