The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for interacting with guests and managing administrative tasks for the medical team. Their duties include answering and/or forwarding questions, Patient engagement, relaying outreach opportunities, explaining intake forms to new patients and processing payments after treatment (if applicable).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Medical Receptionists will facilitate communications and recordkeeping in the medical office(s). Their main role is to serve as a point of contact for patients before and after their appointment, recording interactions and tracking files as necessary. They are the face of the clinic and often the designated listener. They route patients to the proper location and answer general questions.

Greets patients professionally both in person and on the phone

Quickly answering or properly referring questions and issues

Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficiency

Notifying Welcome Center (Clinical Staff) of Patient arrivals

Comforting patients by anticipating anxieties and effectively answering questions

SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Communication skills to converse clearly over the telephone and in person

Organization and time management to manage a variety of tasks effectively

Impeccable attention to detail

Technological skills, such as using word processing, medical EHR, and spreadsheet programs to track data

Interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients who may be upset or stressed

Tactile dexterity

Strong ability to work quickly and accurately

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or higher education

One (1) or more years' experience performing daily clerical tasks or a demonstrated ability to handle varied tasks

Candidates will have access to secure public safety information. All selected applicants must undergo and successfully complete a background investigation as a condition of placement in this position.

OTHER IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THIS POSITION:

No ASH work may be performed in your home or outside of our Offices, unless approved in advance by The Office Manager or their Designee.
