We are currently seeking a Quality Manager in our Tinley Park, Illinois location. This role is on-site.
In this critical role qualified candidate will develop and evaluates quality process and system standards to ensure compliance with company standards and governmental regulatory requirements.
Establishes department policies, control processes, and quality programs within overall direction set by senior management.
Exercises judgment in dealing with unusual cases or those involving significant cost.
Provides support for Production and Development Programs, ensuring compliance to Customer Quality Requirements and adherence to the Emcore (Concord) Quality System. Ensures protection of the customer in regard to product quality and ensuring contract requirements are met. This includes ensuring/verifying the quality of product inputs and the quality of product outputs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the development, application and maintenance of processing materials into finished products.
Assign and coordinate the appropriate quality support to the programs.
Participate in design reviews, reliability reviews, and production readiness reviews.
Prepare detailed trip reports for internal and external customers.
Interface with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Program Management, and management at all levels.
Ensure compliance with customer requirements during order acknowledgement
Review, critique, and edit reports related to reliability analysis, safety analysis, and failure analysis.
Compiling and distribution of Concord's KPIs on a monthly and quarterly basis to senior management
Advises operating on quality control standards and recommends corrective action, dispositions, and modifications where necessary
Maintains the company's quality audit process which includes, auditor selection, training and qualification, audit scheduling, review and approval of audit reports, issuance of corrective actions for audit findings and follow-up audits to determine suitability and effectiveness of actions taken.
Responsible for the site's process for control and calibration of all inspection, measurement and test equipment and tooling
Leads Concord's procurement quality assurance activities which include, supplier relations quality policy, supplier quality assurance program requirements, coordination of supplier product/process qualification activities, purchase order review / approval, supplier rating system and supplier corrective and preventive action process.
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred
5+ years' experience in quality management/leadership role
Knowledge of industry standards for PCBA and mechanical components (e.g., IPC, MIL, and
J-STD)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and BOMs
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with suppliers, team
members, and management

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $120,000 - $145,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. Emcore also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule @type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
Pay Range: $120,000 - $145,000 per hour
