Description The Belt/Band Packer must work with many different products to be packaged and labeled per customer order.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Must work with many different @types of abrasives products manufactured throughout the Belt department. Will be pulling from stock to fulfill a paper picked order form. Responsible for being the last check on quality control, i.e. seam is pressed, edges arent frayed. Must have the ability to manually count out the correct quantity. Ability to choose and put together the correct box size for the various orders Inputting information into the computer system to produce shipping labels. Working closely with different employees and management to ensure a product is getting manufactured. Must pull tubes for cutters, ensuring the correct diameter, grit and abrasive material are correct along with the correct amount of tubes to full-fill the order.

Language Skills: *Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, customer order sheets and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills: *Basic math skills such as addition, subtraction and multiplication, and knowledge of ruler measurements and scale weighing.

Physical Demands: The physical demands here require the ability to lift up to a maximum of 25lbs worth of abrasives materials. Employees must be able to stand, bend and stoop for prolonged periods of time during shifts with frequent overhead reaching. Use of dexterity in hands is frequent and intermittent during shift. Possible interaction with vibrating materials. The ability to correctly wear the personal protective equipment required daily.

Work Environment: Work environment is manufacturing in nature and includes exposure to dust and airborne particles, working near moving mechanical parts, and working with adhesive materials and some chemicals. Overall work environment noise level is medium. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions or this job.
