Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) manages best-in-class surface transportation programs for our internal and external customers. ATS is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to assist with weekly capacity planning and metrics-based transportation improvements for Relay Freight Auctions in our Intermodal network. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team in a huge growth area for Amazon and this person will be at the forefront of it all!

The person in this position will pull and analyze data, drive process improvements, standardize our processes and eliminate the root cause of defects within the current system. This job will require exceptional communication and interpersonal skills while having the ability to work independently in a high pressure environment and exercise sound judgment.

Key job responsibilities

Prepare and Launch Intermodal Bids

Compile list of carriers with additional capacity across the network and use to fill daily/weekly capacity shortages

Deep Dive root causes of service failures and find sustainable resolutions

Continual, tactical communication with internal and external customers

Pull, analyze, and summarize data from numerous sources

Manage Key performance metrics to drive business results

Identify and eliminate root causes of defects in order to drive efficiency in Amazon's transportation operations

Escalate problems to the relevant owners and teams and follow through on the resolutions to ensure they are delivered.

Work within time constraints to meet critical business needs

Basic Qualifications

High school or equivalent diploma

Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

Experience in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or equivalent
