Job Title: Accounting AssociateJob Description
We are searching for a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our team. As an Accounting Associate, you will be responsible for assisting in essential accounting functions, including processing and payment of subcontractor invoices. To be successful in this position, you should have an in-depth knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information are a must. You will work under the direct supervision of the Accounting Manager and must relate to individuals at all levels of the organization while balancing business and employee needs. Knowledge in the construction field is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
Processing and payment of subcontractor's invoices.
Performing basic accounting functions.
Correcting any inaccuracies and errors.
Performing reconciliations of reports.
Maintaining ledger accounts.
Answering subcontractor's queries.
Performing data entry and word processing.
Working in collaboration with Auditors.
Maintaining a healthy relationship with clients.
Performing clerical duties as required.
Assisting with payroll and preparation as needed.
Adhering to all accounting rules and regulations.
Computation of sales tax on projects.
Providing backup for other accounting department members.
Essential Skills
Proven knowledge of established Accounting practices and principles.
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
Proven experience with Accounting systems.
Ability to prioritize work effectively.
Ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously with minimal supervision.
Collaborative approach to accomplishing organizational development and accounting goals.
Professional representation through in-person, telephone, and written interactions.
Strong understanding and experience with online Accounting data systems.
4-year degree in Accounting, Business or equivalent (or 2-year degree with experience).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge in the construction field is preferred but not required.

This position is onsite in Plain, WI, and offers a strong, team-oriented culture with good company tenure.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
