Seeking a Senior Accountant for a 3-Month Contract in Hamel, MN!!

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant who will play a crucial role in preparing and posting journal entries, analyzing and reporting on general ledger account reconciliations, and assisting with monthly and year-end closings. This role includes responsibilities in capital expenditure administration, treasury management, and maintaining data integrity within our ERP system. The ideal candidate will lead and coordinate efforts with various accounting teams, including finance, tax, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cost, and payroll.

Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries.

Prepare, analyze, and report on assigned general ledger account reconciliations.

Assist with monthly and year-end closings, including processing assigned accruals and reviewing financial reports.

Assist with publishing and maintaining financial reports and statements.

Administer capital expenditure processes, including fixed asset processing and reporting.

Process and administer treasury management, intercompany, and expense reporting transactions.

Maintain data integrity and code part hierarchy within the ERP system.

Lead and coordinate efforts with the broader accounting teams.

Essential Skills

Experience with fixed asset and lease accounting.

Proficiency in preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and managing the general ledger.

Strong understanding of month-end processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Experience with Sage and/or IFS is a plus.

Staff/ Senior level fixed assets experience.

Lease accounting experience is highly desirable.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $55.00/hr.
