Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. This is a Contract to permanent position offering the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and focused environment. The role involves managing key accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing, while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities:

Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.

Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger to support financial accuracy.

Process invoices and payments efficiently, adhering to company policies.

Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with multi-state tax and government agency filing requirements.

Assist with month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and financial reports.

Collaborate with the accounting team to support overall financial operations and reporting.

Utilize proprietary accounting systems and tools to streamline workflows and maintain data integrity.

Leverage advanced Microsoft Excel skills to analyze financial data and create detailed reports. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with a focus on detail, including accounts payable and receivable.

Strong proficiency in bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and journal entry preparation.

Experience with payroll processing and multi-state tax filing requirements.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manipulate complex spreadsheets.

Familiarity with month-end close procedures and financial reporting.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Ability to work onsite at the corporate headquarters in Pewaukee, Wisconsin.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team environment.
