Entry Level/Junior Buyer onsite in San Mateo, CA

3 days in office 2 day Remote (Hybrid) : 8AM-5PM

$24.00-$25.00/DOE

6 Month Contract Role+

About: The individual will be supporting the US Procurement team and will be based in the San Mateo office.

Job Title: Entry-Level Buyer / Junior Buyer

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.

0-2 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain (internships or co-op experience preferred).

Skills & Competencies:

Basic understanding of purchasing processes and procurement principles.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)

Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus but not required.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the purchasing of goods and services in accordance with company policies.

Obtain and compare quotes from suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.

Create and process purchase orders under the guidance of senior buyers or managers.

Track order status, follow up with vendors, and update internal stakeholders as needed.

Support vendor onboarding and maintain accurate supplier records.

Help resolve invoice discrepancies and delivery issues.

Maintain proper documentation and compliance with procurement procedures.

Other:
