Job Title: Civil Construction Testing Technician/Concrete Coring Technician

We are establishing a brand-new division and are looking for a highly skilled and experienced lead technician to take charge. The ideal candidate will have expertise in concrete coring and sawing , sprinkler system testing , and flow testing , and will help shape and run this division with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities
As a Civil Construction Testing Technician, your role will include:
Performing concrete coring and sawing to create precise, circular openings in concrete surfaces or structures using specialized equipment such as diamond-tipped core drills.
Conducting sprinkler system testing, including visual inspections, pressure testing, flow testing, and control valve checks, to ensure compliance with fire safety standards and regulations.
Performing flow testing to assess the performance and flow characteristics of systems or materials, ensuring they meet required specifications.
Generating detailed and accurate reports documenting inspection findings, testing results, and any corrective actions needed, to be submitted to fire marshals or other authorities as necessary.
Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting various construction and testing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Assisting in the coordination of testing schedules and working effectively with clients, colleagues, and regulatory officials.
Essential Skills
To excel in this role, you will need the following:
Proven experience with concrete coring and sawing techniques and the ability to operate the necessary equipment with precision.
A solid understanding of sprinkler systems , including the ability to perform visual inspections, pressure and flow testing, and control valve checks.
Expertise in conducting flow testing , particularly in evaluating material consistency and system performance.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances on job sites.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following skills and qualifications will give you an advantage:
General construction and labor experience, providing a solid foundation for diverse tasks.
Familiarity with sewer systems and sewer camera operation s, allowing for expanded troubleshooting capabilities.
Knowledge of pressure testing and control valve functions, adding depth to your technical expertise.
Exceptional communication and documentation skills, ensuring clear and accurate reporting.

Work Environment
You will primarily work outdoors , often exposed to a variety of weather conditions. The job entails regular physical activity, such as:
Sitting, talking, and hearing during inspections and meetings.
Frequently using your hands to handle or operate equipment, tools, or controls.
Reaching with your hands and arms and performing occasional tasks like lifting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, or climbing.
Lifting and/or moving objects weighing up to 50 to 100 pounds.
You must possess specific vision abilities, including close vision and the ability to adjust focus to complete detailed tasks safely and accurately.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $62400.00/yr.
Most benefits offered below start at the employee's 90 day employment date.
Primary Care benefit - (not health insurance, no major medical - covers primary care only) $79/month per person. The employee coverage is paid after one year of service. Employees must pay for any dependents.
Life Insurance - term/$150,000 - paid by Employer.
Retirement - offered through the Colorado SecureSavings program, 5% of gross wages, no company match.
Vacation - one week paid after 1 year of service. two weeks after 2 years of service.
Paid holidays - Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Years Day.
Sick Time - effective upon employment, Colorado standards - 1 hour for every 30 worked, up to a max of 48 hours/year. No carry over.
