Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Mechanic Falls, Maine. This is a long-term contract position that offers an opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing processes. Responsibilities:

Process and record accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.

Manage accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and payment tracking.

Perform thorough account reconciliations to ensure financial records are balanced.

Handle billing operations, ensuring timely and precise invoicing.

Enter financial data into accounting systems with a high level of accuracy.

Verify and process invoices, checking for discrepancies and resolving issues as needed.

Utilize Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks to maintain and organize financial data.

Collaborate with team members to support overall financial operations and reporting.

Maintain compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

Identify opportunities for process improvement within accounting workflows. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing functions.

Strong skills in account reconciliation and financial data analysis.

Proficiency in data entry with attention to detail and accuracy.

Experience with Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.

Excellent problem-solving skills for addressing discrepancies and ensuring accuracy.

Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
