Job Description:
HOW AN IT PROJECT MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Provide technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned project / task(s).
Review status of project(s), manage schedules, and prepare status reports.
Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals and objectives.
Responsible for scope, schedule, and performance of assigned project or task(s).
Manages or directs resources required to perform assigned project / task(s).
Communicate, verbally and in writing, effectively to government leads and representatives, peers and teammates, and leadership.
Manages and directs efforts of teams and serves as the interface and POC with government leads and representatives on technical actions related to the project / task.
Support the networks and associated computing services from requirement identification to service retirement / replacement.
Provides support to the program's supported organizations to ensure flexible and responsive operation and defense of the network as it relates to projects / tasks.
Support the successful delivery of projects / tasks undertaken for the program through effective facilitation, tracking and reporting.
Assist with advising managers and teams on the best use of project management disciplines and approaches, and act as the first POC for any program management queries.
Monitor performance against SLAs and work with the Service Value Management (SVM) teams to ensure effective delivery, mitigation of risks, and appropriate corrective actions taken, where necessary.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education/Equivalent Training Required:
High school diploma or higher.
Preferred - Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or a related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
Required Experience:
5+ years of experience implementing project management principles and managing, tracking, and coordinating a wide range of actions, documents, and tasks through completion.
Required Skills Requirements:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project).
Skilled in managing complex, multi-task projects of similar size and scope.
Applies project management principles to track, coordinate, and complete diverse tasks and deliverables.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to understand requirements, resolve issues, and develop creative solutions.
Dependability, in that the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction, and solicits feedback to improve.
Strong organizational, collaborative, written, verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to various audiences to include senior military and government leadership.

Required Certification Requirements:
Have, or ability to obtain within six months of hire, the appropriate baseline certification to achieve DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II compliance, such as CompTIA Security+ CE.
Will need to obtain an additional certification within six months of hire to achieve the necessary Computing Environment (CE) certification. This certification should be in line with a technical discipline related to technologies (Networks, Systems, Cloud, etc.) associated with the program. Candidate may have further discussions with the program's Resource Integration Manager for more details.
When 8140 requirements are implemented on program/contract, employee will need to conform to 8140 certification standards.
Maintain and upgrade certifications.
Desired Certification Requirements:
Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP); the goal is to obtain this cert although not a requirement to start.
Possess an ITIL® 4 Foundations or higher cert(s).
Security Clearance Level Requirements:
Must have a minimum of an active Secret clearance at time of interview and candidate must maintain active clearance.
Location:
Falls Church, Virginia
Hours and days TBD upon hire.
Three (3) days onsite with up to two (2) days telework. Onboarding/transition in period requires on-site support up to 60 days. Program work schedules are subject to change on direction by mission requirements from GDIT or USG leadership.
Travel:
Up to 10%. Travel may include attending conferences up to two times annually and site visits as needed.

The likely salary range for this position is $105,622 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
