The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Center for Quantum Computing in Pasadena, CA, is looking to hire a Logistics Technician who will aid in AWS's effort to bring cloud quantum computing services to its worldwide customer base. Responsibilities include logistics, exporting and importing, inventory assistance, expense reports, tracking packages and collecting data to streamline processes. AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations - from foundational services such as Amazon's Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS's services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you'll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Key job responsibilities
Ensure all packages are off loaded and accurately stowed while working with procurement to receive purchase orders
Control process improvements to create new systems to inventory, barcode, track and trace deliverables.
Must be willing and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
Must be willing and able to work on powered equipment. Staging product in work area using equipment such as pallet jack and forklift.
Assist with payment inquiries, tracking and tracing of late products.
Interact with brokers and Global Trade and Compliance for importing and exporting goods.
Works closely with lab management on NRTL certifications
Work with vendors and engineers for supplier corrective action reports and RMAs
Complete procure to pay process and own end to end life cycles
Serve as backup to processing orders, financial expense reporting, metrics and data analysis. Must have a valid drivers license.
A day in the life
The candidate will spend work in a lab environment performing hands-on tasks receiving packages and completing procure to pay operations. The candidate will carry out importing and exporting processes working with internal teams to file end use statements, commercial invoicing requirements and safety / NRTL certifications.

You will be joining the Supply Chain team within the Quantum Computing organization. Our mission is to serve engineers building quantum computers for our customers in the lab and on the cloud. Our vision is to set the gold standard for supply chain solutions, frugality, and operations in the quantum cloud computing industry.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or G.E.D
Experience in a warehouse environment
Valid drivers license
Preferred Qualifications
· Familiar with incoming lab hardware and systems including material handling, certs, electronics, chemicals and semiconductor components
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· High motivation to learn, develop and perform in a fast-paced rapid prototyping environment
· Attention-to-detail, alongside proven ability to manage multiple, conflicting priorities simultaneously
· Hands-on experience of running process, technology or operations improvement projects or initiatives
· Knowledge base of importing and exporting controls and systems
· Experience with procuring freight, identifying transportation requirements, handling freight bid negotiations, making carrier selections, tracking freight, and supplying customs paperwork if necessary

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $48,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $103,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
