Position Description Supporting the community and providing services to Anoka County residents is just the beginning for the Community Social Services and Behavioral Health Department at Anoka County. The Anoka County Community Social Services Department is recruiting for an Associate Administrative Assistant to provide essential support to the Child Protection unit. In this role, you will be one of three administrative assistants responsible for: managing electronic case records; gathering information for data requests and court discovery; processing incoming documents from service providers; and preparing client correspondence on behalf of case managers. This position demands a highly organized individual capable of effectively managing multiple priorities, including both urgent requests and ongoing projects. Additionally, you will share responsibility for answering and directing incoming calls from the community, providing referrals to appropriate social workers or service areas, and offering basic community resource information. We are looking for a collaborative, proactive individual with a strong sense of responsibility and a dedication to maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive client information. This full-time, non-exempt, benefit-eligible position is located at the Anoka County Government Center and may be eligible for hybrid work. Expected work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Job Duties and Responsibilities These examples are not all inclusive and are intended to be illustrative of primary responsibilities of an Anoka County Associate Administrative Assistant. Qualifications and Requirements: Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed Requires a high school diploma. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed Two years or more of full-time (2,080 annual hours) job-related experience in office support or customer service working in a call center or in a reception environment. Effectively, positively, and professionally communicate and interact with the public. Computer skills, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Maintain confidentiality and comply with federal, state, and county rules and regulations. Physical Demands and Work Conditions Standard office environment. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus, such as to work on computers. Hearing abilities required for general and phone communication, signals, and machine sounds. Alternating between sitting, standing, and walking daily. Occasional crouching and kneeling as required to perform job responsibilities. Frequent wrist and finger manipulation to complete computer work. Occasional lifting of 10-20 lbs.
