Job Title: Construction Laborer

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Construction Laborers. You will be responsible for labor and cleanup tasks in various commercial buildings. Your duties will include the demolition and disposal of materials such as walls, ceilings, floors, studs, doors, windows, and mechanical systems. You will need to carry and dispose of these materials into dumpsters while utilizing brooms and shovels as necessary. This position requires travel to different job sites, primarily focused on school projects during the summer season.

Responsibilities

Perform labor and cleanup tasks in commercial buildings.

Demolish and dispose of walls, ceilings, floors, studs, doors, windows, and mechanical systems.

Carry and dispose of materials into dumpsters.

Use brooms and shovels as necessary for cleanup.

Travel to various job sites to perform duties.

Essential Skills

Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50lbs.

Experience with manual labor and demolition.

Proficiency in using hand tools and shovels.

Capability to work in hot conditions and remain on feet all day.

Reliable transportation to different job sites.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Steel toe boots required for safety.

Work Environment

The work environment primarily consists of commercial buildings and may involve working in hot weather conditions. The specific site for the project will be at Waverly High School in Lansing, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., lasting 4-6 weeks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Warren and Lansing, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
