Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team in Redwood City, California. This is a Contract-to-permanent position that offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to key financial operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. The ideal candidate will bring attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in QuickBooks to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll data entries with precision and timeliness.

Process and reconcile invoices, ensuring expense allocations align with cost centers.

Verify the accuracy of financial entries by comparing system reports and resolving discrepancies.

Manage vendor relationships by reconciling monthly statements and addressing account issues.

Prepare and schedule payments, monitor discount opportunities, and issue stop-payments or amendments as needed.

Handle employee expense reports and advance requests, ensuring proper documentation and timely processing.

Maintain accurate accounting ledgers and historical records by verifying and posting transactions.

Investigate and resolve account discrepancies, coordinating with sales, trade promotions, and customer service teams.

Summarize and report receivables, ensuring invoice accounts are properly maintained and monthly transfers are verified.

Protect sensitive financial information by adhering to confidentiality standards. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, with proficiency in QuickBooks required.

Demonstrated expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software systems.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive organizational information.

Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and team collaboration.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
