Description

We are looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Walnut Creek, California. In this role, you will support a specialty medical practice by managing patient records, coordinating administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This position requires a proactive and organized individual who is committed to delivering high-quality care and maintaining professionalism in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities:

Process medical orders and prior authorizations to support patient care needs.

Utilize Epic software efficiently to manage patient records and clinic workflows.

Triage patient concerns and clinic priorities, ensuring timely resolutions to arising issues.

Handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Maintain integrity and professionalism when assisting patients with serious medical conditions.

Ensure consistent attendance and reliability to support clinic operations.

Schedule patient appointments and verify insurance eligibility to streamline services.

Assist with patient check-in, intake, and registration processes.

Obtain necessary authorizations and manage requests for insurance purposes.

Provide administrative support to the medical team, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

Requirements - Minimum of 2 years experience in a medical setting, preferably in specialty or primary care.

Proficiency with Epic software and familiarity with its functions.

Strong multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

High level of integrity and professionalism when dealing with sensitive medical cases.

Assertive and independent work style, capable of solving problems effectively.

Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent degree preferred; extensive experience may be considered.

Reliable attendance and the ability to commute to the office location.
