Holiday Inn Portland Airport is conveniently located near Portland Airport and features 284 guest rooms, 12,000 sq. ft. of event space and dining in our Latitude 45 Degrees Restaurant and Lounge. Our amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, indoor pool, well-equipped fitness center and pet friendly rooms.
The primary purpose of the Restaurant Supervisor is to provide guests with an excellent restaurant experience.
Work Performed:
The Restaurant Supervisor will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:
Supervise and direct the prompt, efficient and friendly serving of all food and beverage associates;
Assist other Associates in their job duties as necessary, including bartending, bussing, cooking and serving;
Conduct appropriate training, coaching and accountability of food and beverage associates when service, performance, or cleanliness standards are not met;
Ensure all opening and closing side work is completed on a daily basis;
Work quickly and independently to resolve operational and/or guest issues when necessary, ensuring proper follow through with appropriate manager(s);
Act as a liaison between kitchen and front of house associates;
Assist with ordering supplies and equipment while controlling costs
Responsible for ensuring that Associates are provided the opportunity to take all required meal and rest breaks;
Adhere to Health Department guidelines for food handling and sanitation so that guests and employees will not be in risk of cross-contamination
Exceed guest expectations throughout their restaurant and hotel experience;
Qualifications:
Required Prior Experience:
Two (2) years of prior experience cooking in a commercial kitchen
At least one year lead and/or supervisory experience
Required Licenses/ Certification:
Food Safety Training?certified (ServSafe Manager Certification Preferred)
Alcohol Awareness certified / OLCC Alcohol Service Permit
Physical:
Able to lift 50lbs occasionally and 20lbs regularly
Able to bend and squat repeatedly;
Able to walk and stand for duration of scheduled shift
Other:
Meet state minimum age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, both written and oral
Flexible to?work day?shifts, early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
