Summary: Directs an organization's overall supply chain operations for a facility or multiple facilities, including purchasing, inventory and distribution of supplies and equipment. Responsible for the financial performance, including the evaluation of spend to established targets, contract compliance, budget, forecast etc. Develops strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations utilizing analytical and project management skills. Ensures that issues regarding existing and new products are resolved in a timely and cost-efficient manner. Directs product conversion efforts at the hospital. Build relationships with peers and administrative leadership through effective communication and interpersonal skills. Participate on various committees and meetings. Leads and directs the work of others. Performs a variety of tasks as assigned. Bachelor’s degree in Business or Health Care Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree preferred 2. Five or more years of progressively more responsible Supply Chain and/or materials management experience, including two or more years in a managerial role to include budget management. 3. Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP) preferred. Skills Required: 1. Project management skills including the ability to define program, project, or process objectives, identify stakeholders and their interests, plan steps, coordinate and allocate human, technological and fiscal resources to accomplish goals and objectives in a resourceful yet timely manner. 4. Leadership skills including demonstrated willingness to pursue leadership roles with increasing levels of accountability, comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching, teaching and counseling skills, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others and to forge alliances and garner support. 5. Thorough knowledge of supply chain concepts and approved practices in order to affect the total supply chain.
