Position reports to the Executive Director, Portfolio Strategy within WW Medical Cardiovascular & Immunology (CV & I) Global Medical Affairs and is Responsible for supporting relationship management and operational execution of global medical professional society strategy and engagement plans across CV, Rheumatology & Pulmonology. Assists the CV & I professional society leads in the coordination of society engagement across matrix partners, internal strategy alignment and compliant execution of engagement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Partners with WW Medical Cardiovascular & Immunology P rofessional S ociety L ead ( s ) with facilitating society interactions, preparing materials, tracking engagement activities, and ensuring timely execution.
Maintains regular communication with professional societies to stay current on their priorities, activities, and initiatives.
Contributes to the development and management of society engagement budgets; monitors expenditures and maintains financial tracking as required .
Assist s in the execution of society engagement plans and budget management in alignment with therapeutic area strategies developed by the Director , Professional Societies and m edical teams
Represent s BMS at society meetings as appropriate , ensuring proper documentation and reporting of external interactions.
Support s cross-functional collaboration across Medical, Clinical Development, Public Affairs, Commercial, Corporate Giving and other key matrix partners to operationalize society engagement initiatives.
Contribute s to the development and management of society engagement budgets; monitor s expenditures and maintains financial tracking as required .
Ensure s all society interactions and activities are conducted in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Prepare s internal reports, tracking documents, and meeting summaries to support transparency and alignment with internal leadership and matrix teams.
Assist s with internal education efforts to enhance stakeholder understanding of the role and value of professional societies.
Help s optimize processes, procedures, and best practices related to internal and external society engagement operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree required ; advanced degree (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD, MS) a plus.
Experience Requirements: 7-10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical industry or relevant stakeholder engagement roles .
Experience with professional medical societies and associations preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and relationship management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver results within timelines.
Understanding of the pharmaceutical development and commercialization environment preferred.
Familiarity with Cardiovascular, Rheumatology and Pulmonology therapeutic areas desirable.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across multiple internal stakeholder functions, therapeutic area teams and management levels within the organization.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
Willingness to travel ( as needed ) .
