We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Cybersecurity Analyst to join our Security Operations Center (SOC) team. In this role, you will monitor security alerts, analyze threats, and assist in incident response to protect our organization from cyber threats. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about cybersecurity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Monitor security alerts from SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, IBM QRadar) and investigate potential threats.Assist in incident response for security breaches, malware, or phishing attacks.Perform vulnerability scans and assist in patch management.Analyze logs from firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security tools.Follow SOC playbooks for threat detection and escalation procedures.Document security incidents and generate reports for management.Stay updated on the latest cyber threats, attack techniques, and security trends.Required Qualifications & Skills:Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls).Familiarity with security tools (Wireshark, Nmap, Metasploit, Burp Suite).Knowledge of common cyber threats (malware, phishing, DDoS, SQLi).Basic Linux/Windows command line experience.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work in a 24/7 SOC environment (shift work may apply).Preferred (But Not Required):Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CEH, CySA+, or ISC CC.Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, ELK Stack, Azure Sentinel).Hands-on practice in CTFs, TryHackMe, or Hack The Box.Scripting basics (Python, Bash, PowerShell).Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science (or equivalent experience).Internships, labs, or personal projects in cybersecurity are a plus.Why Join Us?Mentorship from senior cybersecurity professionals.Certification & training reimbursement.Career growth into roles like Penetration Tester, Threat Hunter, or Security Engineer.How to Apply:Submit your resume with:Any certifications (Security+, CEH, etc.).Projects (GitHub, CTF profiles, home labs).A brief cover letter explaining your interest in cybersecurity.Tailoring Tips for Applicants:If applying for SOC roles, emphasize SIEM & log analysis.For penetration testing, highlight TryHackMe/HTB experience.For GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance), focus on frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
