The Shop Lead is responsible for performing repairs on class 8 equipment
while supporting Shop Foreman in essential shop administration.
Responsibilities
While working as a mechanic:
Perform repairs to equipment as assigned.
Inspect equipment during the repair process to identify any needed
additional repairs.
Notify service writer of any found additional needed repairs.
While working as a foreman:
Monitor equipment repairs as theyre being made to ensure best
practices are being followed and repairs are progressing in a timely
manner.
Ensure shop policies and procedures are being followed.
Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the
ongoing needs of Covenant Transport Services.
Qualifications
Must have a valid drivers license
Must be able to understand, communicate, read, and write the English
language.
Must have the physical ability to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis
and 95 lbs. on a frequent basis to mount tires.
Must have physical ability to climb, bend and stoop.
Must have physical ability to work while on feet at all times,
ability to stand for long periods of time.
Must have tools to perform skills for this level.
Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
High school diploma or equivalent.

compensation strategy to determine the current market value of a
position while also considering individual factors such as performance
in current position, time in seat of current position, experience, level
of responsibility/accountability, and longevity with the company. The
system will be objective and non-discriminatory.
Pay Range: \$23.87-\$37.46/hour
Pay Grade: 8
