Plan and carry out assignments for complete projects that entail a variety of complicating and interacting factors, relationships with other specializations and in consideration of the complete development cycle. Anticipate technological trends, direction of change in workload and workload growth allowances, and changes in regulatory requirements, in order to accommodate future changes efficiently and effectively. Conduct pre-implementation evaluations of existing systems to determine cost, configuration compliance, performance, adequacy, and assess potential problems. Review requirements, identify project scope and processes, review specific issues, oversee tests and analyses, interfaces, information flaws, interfacing requirements, and whether advancements in information technology should be incorporated. Supervise in regard to assignment of projects and tasks; interviewing and selecting candidates for vacancies, standards, and evaluations; counseling employees; corrective and disciplinary actions; hearing and resolving serious complaints.
