We operate in Canada as Engineered Lifting Systems and Equipment (ELS)/DBA Gorbel Canada, and subsequent communication related to Canadian positions may show the ELS name. Work Shift:Second Shift (United States of America)Job Description:The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for the efficient flow of incoming materials, and the efficient preparation of outgoing materials. Through the use of various material handling equipment, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Utilizes overhead crane to maneuver material and stage for the next operation. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for moving materials and components about the factory using carts, pallet jacks, sit-down forklifts, overhead cranesFollow job orders and blue prints to specificationsResponsible for machine set-ups, operations and maintenance to meet production demandsResponsible for inspection and documentation of work to accurately meet specificationsAssist in the loading and unloading of raw materials of various weights and lengthsMust be able to work in a fast-paced high production area with minimal supervisionUse problem-solving skills to stage and palletized loads in an efficient and cost-effective manner on outbound trailers.
