Aston Carter is looking to hire a Construction Accountant in Hiawatha, IA. This position offers competitive pay with a top company in the area!

Job Description:

Use job costing to complete construction continuation sheets, tracking project expenses.

Tie construction project invoices to continuation sheet.

Enter construction project cost and revenue information.

Gather information, complete month-end financial close and consolidation of multiple company financial statements.

Uses job costing to assign expenses and appropriate costs to projects.

Compile paperwork for Tax Credit Construction projects and work with 3rd Party Accountants for Tax Credit compilation.

Complete bank and other account reconciliations.

Compile information for Tax Accounting group and complete annual tax adjustment entries.

Provide property management and financial accounting support as needed.

Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships and provide excellent customer service internally and externally.

Performs other accounting duties including, but not limited to, downloading financial statement, loan statement or bank information as well as completing spreadsheet entry tasks as needed.

Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience

3-5 years' experience and desire to work in Construction Accounting

Intermediate Microsoft Excel Knowledge.

Experience in Construction Accounting and ERP Software a plus.

Must be able to manage accounting projects with no supervision.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $33.65/hr.
